Cans in the Classroom
Environmental education is a lifelong process that must begin early to instill lasting habits in the ecological caretakers of tomorrow. The Can Manufacturers Institute (CMI) offers a series of three interactive educational programs designed for elementary school students in grades 3-6, middle school students and high school students.
CMI publishes and distributes educational materials for students that highlight the benefits of recycling and encourage environmentally and socially responsible behavior. CMI has fulfilled over 110,000 environmental curriculum requests from environmental educators and teachers who have a combined potential of reaching over 500,000 classroom students and youth groups that are establishing aluminum can recycling programs in those schools and communities.
These materials are free of charge; registration is required.
