Sherrie Rosenblatt Named CMI Vice President of Marketing and Communications
WASHINGTON, DC – July 26, 2012 – Can Manufacturers Institute (CMI) President Robert Budway today announced the appointment of Sherrie Rosenblatt as vice president of marketing and communications. Rosenblatt will lead CMI’s marketing and communications programs and seek to expand its efforts by developing and implementing campaigns that will target manufacturers, retailers and consumers.
“Rosenblatt brings a wealth of experience in marketing and communications with food trade associations,” said Budway. “We are very excited she has joined the CMI staff and look forward to her working to protect and promote the can industry’s ability to operate competitively and efficiently.”
In her position, Rosenblatt will implement an effective measurable innovations, marketing and communications program. She will focus on communicating the environmental benefits of recycling cans, while also espousing the consumer benefits of canned foods and beverages.
Rosenblatt spent the past 14 years with the National Turkey Federation (NTF), where she was most recently vice president of marketing and communications. Her primary responsibility was designing and implementing marketing and communications programs to promote and protect the image of the turkey industry.
Prior to NTF, Rosenblatt spent 15 years with the Food Marketing Institute, where she held various positions in the supermarket industry association’s communications department. She received her B.S. degree from the University of Maryland.
