2022 ROME GLOBAL ALUMINiUM CAN SUSTAINABILITY SUMMIT REGISTRATION LINK
SUMMIT DATES & HOTEL INFORMATION | DRAFT AGENDA | COMMITTED ATTENDEES | FOR MORE INFORMATION
Ardagh Metal Packaging and Crown Holdings are collaborating with the Can Manufacturers Institute (CMI) and the International Aluminium Institute (IAI) to organize a Global Aluminum Sustainability Summit with leaders from across the aluminum beverage can value chain. This meeting will focus on two critical objectives to enhance the aluminum beverage can’s sustainability credentials:
1. accelerate the aluminum industry’s decarbonization efforts and
2. advance the conversation around a global standard for measuring and verifying recycled content in aluminum beverage can sheet.
The summit is expected to draw the most senior executives from organizations globally across the aluminum beverage can value chain. Ardagh and Crown’s chief executive officers, beverage brand C-suite executives and select NGO leaders will address aluminum beverage can value chain attendees on the need for decisive climate action in the near-term. The aluminum can value chain must do its part to reduce planet-warming emissions while simultaneously strengthening the can’s sustainability credentials against competitive substrates. Achieving decarbonization and measuring recycled content are critical to this effort.
