Membership Requirements

Manufacturer Membership: Manufacturers, producers, sellers or distributors of cans made wholly or in part of tin plate, black plate, aluminum, or similar material, for sale or own use, or both.

Supplier Membership: Suppliers of goods and/or services to the can manufacturing industry.

Dues

The dues rate is established by the CMI Board of Governors and is subject to revision. Dues are billed and payable quarterly.

Manufacturers: Dues for manufacturer members are based on net can sales. Can manufacturers that equal or exceed $1 billion in annual sales pay a rate of $100 per million. Companies that do not equal or exceed $1 billion pay a rate of $160 per million in sales. Minimum dues are $5,000 per year.

Suppliers: Dues for supplier members are based on the total sales to the can manufacturing industry for the preceding calendar year at the rate of $12 per million dollars of net sales, with a $5,000 per year minimum.
